Survey and titling of ancestral lands pushed

A resolution was filed before the Provincial Board this week proposing to set aside P956,000 funding for survey and delineation activities of ancestral lands in Aborlan and Puerto Princesa City.

Board Member Albert Rama said the proposed budget will be for the community titling of Tagbanua ancestral lands around Barangays of Isaub, Iraan and Sagpangan in Aborlan and Barangays Inagawan Sub and Montible in Puerto Princesa City.

He also cited the need for indigenous peoples to secure their ancestral land titles in the wake of investments coming into the province.

He added that the lands already have documents and ready for survey and titling.
