Palawan is expected to experience fine and sunny weather until the weekend, according to the state weather agency.

Sonny Pajarilla, the local chief of the Philippine, Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), said Thursday there is no significant weather system transition to expect and the wind will be humid coming from the Pacific Ocean.

“Generally, magiging mainit at maaliwalas ang lagay ng ating panahon. Itong buwan ng January ay unti lang talaga ang ating average rainfall, 36.4 lang (… it will be sunny and fine. This month of January, we will have fewer average rainfall, only 36.4),” he said.

Pajarilla said localized thunderstorms will bring isolated rain showers in the afternoon, particularly in the southern part of Palawan on the extreme south Balabac area.

Puerto Princesa City up to the northern part will have sunny weather, he said, adding due to the fine condition of the weather, sea transports are now safe to sail on the seas.

“Ang ating mga karagatan ay magiging katamtaman lang din ang pag-alon kaya pwedeng maglayag (It’s okay to sail because there will be moderate waves in the sea),” Pajarillo said.
