NARRA, Palawan — A stranded Korean national taking care of a farm for a taro planting project in Barangay Bato-Bato here has received food aid from village officials.

Bato-Bato barangay chairman Ernesto Ferrer said Korean national Sung Jung Ho was accompanied to him by his farm helper to appeal for food assistance.

Ferrer said the Korean national comes and goes every six months with his partner, but he was unable to leave to go back to Korean when the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) was imposed.

He said Sung’s visa to the Philippines had also expired.

Ferrer said he had asked the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on how to help the Korean national and was instructed to bring him to the tourism office of Narra.

Sung also had to communicate with his embassy in the Philippines so it will know about his situation.
