Palawan will experience sporadic rain showers and thunderstorms due to the monsoon that is impacting western Luzon, said the state weather bureau.

During heavy thunderstorms, flash floods and landslides are likely, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

“Sometimes when there is a monsoon trough, a low-pressure area (LPA) is being formed. For now, we don’t see an LPA inside the country,” Aldczar Aurelio of PAGASA said.

The rest of Luzon, he said, will have fair weather. Sudden rains are likely due to thunderstorms.

Good weather is expected over the Visayas and Mindanao, Aurelio said. Isolated rains caused by thunderstorms are possible.

Cagayan de Oro and Davao will have a 24 to 33 °C temperature.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago.
