The Provincial Board of Palawan is looking for possibility of a public-private partnership (PPP) for the development of Sandoval Airport in the municipality of Taytay through a resolution approved during its 128th regular session.

The resolution seeks to invite various stakeholders to submit unsolicited proposals for the said project as semi-privatization will mean speedy construction and efficient management of Sandoval Airport.

Kapag ang operasyon ng pasilidad ay binuksan na sa mga eroplanong pang-komersyal na lalapag dito, ito ay magdudulot ng ibayong paglago ng industriya ng turismo sa bahaging norte ng Palawan,” said the author of the resolution Board Member Winston Arzaga.

Arzaga expressed optimism that the governor will affirm the objectives of the resolution since Sandoval Airport is located in a strategic place between Taytay and Elnido, Palawan.

He wishes that there will be more private entities who will express interest to the partnership. “The more, the better,” he said so the provincial government can have a wider option to choose for a capable partner.
