A community in Barangay Tagolango in Bataraza received a sound system and a set of kitchen utensils to be utilized in community events.

Melissa Didik, community organizer said Friday that the distribution on September 05 was part of the allotment from Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) budget for 2019.

“Dati kasi hirap sila sa sound system kailangan pa nila humiram para may magamit sila. Then sa kitchen utensil naman same lang din kailangan din nila humiram kada may mga activities or event ang barangay nila,” she said.

Didik said the barangay allotted P58,000 from the SDMP.

She said that the distributed materials will help the community to have their own sound system and utensils to use whenever they hold activities such as barangay foundation, ramadan celebrations, school activities, weddings, and funerals.

The community established their policy to replace or fix the property, if damaged.

She hoped that the community will take care of the turned over properties by Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) to maintain the use for long time.
