SM Prime Group has been named as one of Asia’s best companies to work for by HR Asia.
HR Asia, which is owned by Business Media International (BMI), is one of Asia’s leading business-to-business publishers, having the best reach among professionals in the region and channeling over 30,000 contents of top HR professionals through multiple platforms.
A press statement from SM said HR Asia held the HR Asia Awards and named 23 local businesses as the “Best Companies to Work For” in the region recently.
The rigorous selection process covers a 360-degree assessment of the participating companies’ talent strategies, employee engagement and leadership effectiveness.
It also covered 12 markets across Asia and it included an independent panel of industry experts, academics, journalists and government representatives. A total of 190 companies across 10 countries competed for the coveted title of Best Companies to Work for in Asia.
The SM Prime Group was chosen to be one of the recipients of this coveted award due to its transparency, its support to employee growth and development and its efforts to continuously engage its workforce in various initiatives that are dedicated to employee welfare and community building.

SM Prime Holdings, Inc., SM Supermalls and SM Lifestyle, Inc. were all recognized among the Best Employer Brands in the Philippines.
Some of the notable employer branding milestones were the release of the first ever Prime Group’s #PrideInMyPurpose career video which was shown in all SM cinemas and the 35% growth in online engagement for SM Supermalls’ social recruitment in just three months.
