SM Foundation, Inc. has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) supplies to the provincial government for medical professionals and health workers fighting COVID-19.

The social arm of the mall chain donated 120 pieces of personal protective items of clothing, 5,000 surgical masks, 60 gallons of alcohol, 3,000 pieces of raincoats, 500 pieces of nitrile gloves, and 300 pieces of shoe covers.

The donations were received by the provincial government on April 8, 2020.

Governor Jose Alvarez welcomed the donation, lauding private corporations like SM for stepping up to support the fight against COVID-19.

He said the PPE donations will help the frontliners to continue their service to residents of the province.
