Today marks the 121st Philippine Independence Day celebration and SM City Puerto Princesa joins the nationwide flag raising ceremony by holding a simultaneous singing of the Philippine National Anthem across all SM Malls in the country.
Mall employees, together with its mall tenants and affiliates, assemble in the mall atrium to celebrate one of the most significant occasions in history as a symbol of SM’s highest respect for the heroism and patriotism showed and set by our past and present heroes.
The flag raising ceremony every June 12th is an institutional celebration observed in all SM malls and is participated by the different communities in each mall’s locality, govern and private organizations as well as known local celebrities and personalities.
This year, all SM malls also wish to honor the men and women in uniform with a special treat of up to 70% off on great finds at different participating stores.
SM City Puerto Princesa also hosts the Pinoy Bazaar, Kalyelympics, Kalayaan Concert, Salute Exhibit, and Salute Treat all in line with the celebration.
