SITEL Princesa, the first business process outsourcing (BPO) company in Palawan, is actively taking part in the celebration of 116th Founding Anniversary of Palawan and Baragatan sa Palawan 2018 with its sponsorship of various key activities.
The booth of SITEL Puerto Princesa is located inside the Capitol compound featuring the video testimonies of Palaweños whose lives were changed because of the opportunity to grow professionally while working in SITEL.
Albert T. Palao, Talent Acquisition Manager of SITEL Group observed that there are still job hunters who are intimidated working with SITEL because of their requirement for English proficiency.
“So long that you are willing to learn, so long that you are capable of at least using the language. It is up to us to enhance your skills,” Palao said.
The booth is mimicking the interview pod of SITEL where interviews with walk-in applicants are conducted and an applicant may even be hired immediately.
The interview pod has a well-designed interior and the environment is very conducive to an activity such as an interview or a chat with SITEL staff. The ceiling of the pod is made of bamboo tubes intricately designed like the one in SITEL main office. The booth is cool and cozy.
SITEL has been providing employment to almost a thousand and a hundred Palaweños since it came to Puerto Princesa City on June 28, 2017. Talent acquisition has been going on to cater to those who want to be part of the company.

“They will be trained on how they will introduce themselves, proper enunciation, diction, pacing and all. But a big part of it is how they will answer,” Palao said.
SITEL Puerto Princesa will choose one candidate to be a recipient of “Miss SITEL Award” during Mutya ng Palawan 2018.
With the aim of promoting awareness on various social issues in Palawan, SITEL in partnership with the Vice-Governor’s Office will host “Huntahan sa Palawan” on June 21 and 22 in two separate locations. “Huntahan sa Palawan” is an impromptu debate of college students in the city.
