Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. (PSFI) was recently awarded the prestigious Philippine Quill Award for its work on tourism promotion and environmental conservation at the Underground River.
The award was received by PSFI executives and PPUR Superintendent Elizabeth Maclang during a ceremony held July 9 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Newport City in Pasay City.
The Quill Award is given by the International Association of Business Communications to professionals who set high standards of excellence in their chosen fields.
The PSFI Quill Award was in recognition of PSFI’s work on the Underground River through a program dubbed Turismo at Negosyo Dulot ng Ingat-KalikasaN (TANDIKAN).
The program was included as an entry in the Division 1 (Communication Management), Category 10 (Community Relations) of the awards body.
Research, Information & Communications Officer Jeri Abenoja of PSFI described the award as “a testament and recognition of our continuous effort to promote tourism through environmental protection.”
