A man who has been the subject of recent social media posts for allegedly sexually harassing women commuters in Puerto Princesa City was identified yesterday, after his own relative brought him to a radio station which was reporting on a complaint being aired by one of his victims.

Police Chief Insp. Mark Allen Palacio identified the man as Jerry Mopal Carmona, who was reportedly brought by his sister to surrender him to authorities following the airing of the case of a 16-year old girl who was reportedly one of his recent victims.

Carmona, according to his own relatives, has been suffering from a mental disorder.

Palacio said they will wait for the filing of formal complaints against Carmona by his supposed victims before securing his arrest. He said they tried to subject Carmona to questioning but failed to find him in the radio station when they arrived.

“Iba’t-ibang kaso ang puwede niyang kaharapin. Hihintayin na lang naming ‘yong proper filing of the case, the statement ng witness at ng victim, kasi ‘yon ang pagbabasehan ng PNP dahil wala kami doon sa area noong nangyari ‘yon,” Palacio said.

Palacio also urged citizens to directly file their complaints with the police.
