A senior citizen victim of hit and run along National Highway, Zone 4, Brgy. Princess Urduja, Narra.

A senior citizen died Sunday in an apparent hit-and-run incident in Brgy. Princess Urduja, Narra.

The victim was identified as Fernando Tan Cortes, Jr., 78 years old and a resident of Lenamin Road in the same barangay.

Based on a report from the Narra Municipal Police Station, at about 8:45 p.m. of June 23, a concerned citizen reported that there was a person found laying on the pavement of the national highway.

Initial investigation showed that at around 7:50 p.m., the victim left their house in Princess Urduja to go somewhere without telling relatives.

Nothing had been heard from him until the accident was reported to the police.

The victim was rescued by personnel of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and rushed to the Narra Municipal Hospital by the Barangay Patrol of Princess Urduja where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
