Some 80 students from kindergarten to grade six in Sitio Magtunao, Barangay Culandanum, Bataraza have received school supplies including slippers and umbrellas.

Community organizer Vannesa Apilan said that the turn over of school supplies on September 9 is in support for the education sector through the allotment from Social Development and Management Program (SDMP).

The community had allotted a budget of P80,000 for the distribution of school supplies to the students of the community.

She said that it was the first time that the Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) had distributed school supplies to the community of Sitio Magtunao particularly for the indigenous people (IPs) residing in the area.

The community also plans to include the scholarship grant to strengthen the education sector through the utilization of their SDMP.
