An Intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is continuously affecting Palawan, bringing scattered rains and cloudy skies over the province, weather state bureau said.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) stated in a weather forecast on Sunday at 4:00 pm update, Palawan will experience scattered rains, particularly on its southern part.

“ITCZ ang nakakaapekto sa Palawan at Mindanao. Makakaranas ng maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan sa southern portion ng Palawan,” weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

He said there is no significant weather system yet observed inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

The ridge of the high-pressure area is affecting northern Luzon, while easterlies coming from the Pacific Ocean will prevail over the rest of the country.

The Palawan seaboards will experience slight sea conditions except during the occurrence of thunderstorms.

“Wala tayong gale warning kaya malayang pumalaot dahil sa magiging banayad hanggang sa katamtaman ang pag-alon ng ating mga baybayin sa buong bansa,” he said.
