Romblon attains zero casualty on Tisoy’s onslaught

ODIONGAN, Romblon – The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Romblon reported that the province recorded ‘zero casualties’ related to the onslaught of typhoon “Tisoy” last December 3.

Ret. Col. Roseller Muros, Officer in Charge of Romblon’s PDRRMO, declared that municipalities were well-prepared and conducted preemptive evacuation of residents in areas vulnerable to flash floods, storm surge, and flash floods.

Data from the Romblon Police Provincial Office show that about 8,968 individuals were already in evacuation centers before the eye of the storm reached the province.
