A motorcycle passenger died in a vehicular accident along the national highway Sunday afternoon in Barangay Oring-Oring, Brooke’s Point.
P/Col. Socrates Faltado, spokesperson of Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA identified the fatality as Remoy Diklay, a construction worker from Brgy. Malis in the same town.
Police investigation showed that Diklay was a passenger of the motorcycle driven by Norsi Landi Marba, 30.
When the two was traversing the north direction of the national highway, a motorcycle driven by Darios Dais Bobis, 43, came out of a feeder road and collided with the other motorcycle.
Bobis tried to escape but was prevented by a concerned citizen until police personnel arrived.
He is now detained at the Brooke’s Point Municipal Police Station.
