Rep. Acosta warns against text scam

Representative Gil Acosta Jr. (3rd district, Palawan) has cautioned the public on a text scam reportedly using his name to offer coffee, laptop, and P450,000 as rewards in exchange for cellphone loads.

He said they have already reported the matter to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Anti-Cybercrime Division for proper investigation.

Acosta said anyone who will receive the same text scam can get in touch with his office through Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/kabarangayjr/ for the consolidation of evidence so the suspect can be arrested.
