The City Council extended anew for another 10 days the deadline for renewal of mayor’s permit of tricycle franchise holders in consideration of the ongoing general community quarantine.
Councilor Peter Maristela, author of Resolution SDR No. 101-2020, on Monday sought the extension of the application period for the renewal of mayor’s permit of tricycle franchise holders in the city “to help them recover their economic loss caused by the lockdown period” and for “humanitarian consideration”.
“[Extension is] 10 days from today, kaya May 21. Unless the last day is Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, the last day will be on the next working day,” Maristela clarified on the date of said extension.
The City Council on March 9 passed a similar resolution, SDR No. 456-2020, which previously allowed the fifteen-day extension period for the renewal of tricycle franchise.
The payment for the annual supervision fee of the tricycle drivers and operators was also subsequently extended in view of the approved resolution.
