CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – The Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Crime Laboratory Office (RCLO) Mimaropa conducted a medical mission at the Aruga Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (home for the aged) located at Brgy. Managpi in this city.
The activity is in line with RCLO’s support to Police Community Relations’ (PCR) Month this July in coordination with the Regional Advisory Council (RAC).
The medical mission aims to help the elderly (lolos and lolas) who are currently housed at the center for them to be checked-up by RCLO medical personnel headed by Dr. Michael Evidente and be given appropriate medicine to maintain the health of the clients.
According to RAC Chairman Dennis Nebrejo, around 26 clients were assisted. The clients who are presently housed at the center came from different towns of the province and some others came from the neighboring provinces of Mimaropa region.
“The oldest client of the Aruga Foundation is 93-years old and the youngest is 51. The medicines given to them are from the Department of Health (DOH) Mimaropa,” said Nebrejo.
