Province recalls statement on return of stranded residents

In a clarificatory statement, the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said their earlier statement was only intended to come up with an inventory of stranded residents.

The provincial government has recalled a statement issued earlier today (Friday) urging stranded residents in various parts of Palawan to coordinate with their respective towns for their return.

In a clarificatory statement, the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said their earlier statement was only intended to come up with an inventory of stranded residents.

It clarified that the decision on when they can return to their respective hometowns will be made by the National Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 (IATF).

In its earlier press statement, the PIO quoted Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) chief Jeremias Alili providing specific instructions for stranded residents to coordinate with their municipalities for their return.

The PIO also took down its earlier statement from its website.
