The provincial board has allocated P50,000 for the construction of a water treatment plant in Barangay Magara, Roxas on Tuesday.
Board Member Leoncio Ola said that the project will help minimize water pollution during the rainy season.
The Magara Rural Waterworks and Sanitation Association has already started the construction of Water Treatment Plant but ran out of funds because of an unanticipated increase in the construction cost.
Ola said his resolution is in accordance with Sec. 17, Chap. II of the Local Government Code of 1991 and the prioritization of infrastructure through I-HELP Program of provincial government.
