The prevailing easterly winds are affecting some areas of the Philippines bringing humid temperature, according to the state weather bureau.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Ariel Rojas said Sunday that the easterlies or the warm wind from the Pacific Ocean are causing the humidity of temperature in some islands of the country.

“Ang ilang bahagi naman ng bansa ay naapektuhan ng easterlies o yong mainit na hangin galing sa dagat Pasipiko,” he said.

“Mainit at maaliwalas na panahon ang iiral pero pagdating ng hapon at gabi ay mataas ang tiyansa ng thunderstorms,” he said.

The Northern and Central Luzon areas, on the other hand, are affected by the ridge or the extension of the high-pressure area in which fine weather with isolated rains is expected.

Rojas said Palawan will still experience a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius temperature level.

The sea level in Mindoro and Palawan seaboard will be in slight condition except during the occurrence of thunderstorms.

“Sa kanlurang bahagi ng Mindoro at Palawan sa Sulu Sea, sa inland seas ng island Luzon at Kabisayaan, Mindanao sea at sa Moro gulf ay banayad ang magiging kalagayan ng karagatan except kapag may nabuong thunderstorms na posibleng magdulot ng biglaang paglaki ng alon pero nawawala rin,” he said.
