The city water district will conduct an emergency system shut off which will result in temporary loss of water supply in Barangays Irawan, Sicsican, and Sta. Monica.

Puerto Princesa City Water District (PPCWD) said in an advisory that the system shut off will start on the afternoon of July 2 to give way to emergency leak repair of the old transmission line along the south national highway in Brgy. Irawan.

Information officer Jenn Rausa said that the maintenance team of the PPCWD needs to conduct an excavation to repair the leak.

“May na-detect na leak along South National Highway Irawan and kailangan mag-conduct ng excavation para ma-repair ‘yong nasabing leak, malakas kasi,” she said.

The affected areas will experience no water pressure from 1:00 p.m. to 12:00 am.

While low water pressure will be observed in Barangays Sta. Lourdes, Tagburos, and Poblacion area.

“All consumers within and nearby the affected areas are advised to store enough water for the duration of the maintenance/ expansion activity,” the notice said.
