Tight security measures are being enforced by the police force as Batang Pinoy 2019 National Championship starts its competitions throughout the city.

Police Colonel Marion Balonglong said that they deployed around 600 police officers from the Puerto Princesa City Police Office, City Police Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and the Provincial Police Office (PPO).

Balonglong also said that the BP2019 opening ceremony has been peaceful and they are set to maintain said peace and order throughout the event.
