The city government said Monday it is close to finalizing plans to put up “mini city halls” in several distant barangays designed to expedite transactions by local residents.
Former city councilor Jonjie Rodriguez, who was tasked to spearhead the initiative, told Palawan News they are currently :polishing the plans” for setting up the first of such offices in Barangay Macarascas.
“We are only waiting for the Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) to connect the electricity for the facility in Macarascas before we could finally inaugurate it,” Rodriguez said.
“Napag-usapan na rin dati [ang mga kailangan], parang review na lang ‘yan bukas. More on review para ma-perfect ‘yong plano,” he added.
Early discussions on the scheme included centralizing local infrastructure projects in the “mini city halls” to expedite their implementation.
Three other satellite city halls in Brgys. Napsan, Luzviminda, and San Rafael is being planned by the city government.
