Four individuals, including two minors, who were allegedly involved in a series of holdups in different barangays in Puerto Princesa City were arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a buy-bust operation by operatives in Barangay Sicsican on Monday night, July 19.
The suspects considered as high-value targets (HVTs) and No. 2 in the list of PDEA-MIMAROPA were identified as Ryan Laurilla and his nephew John Marvin Laurilla and two others aged 15 and 16.
PDEA operatives said they have been monitoring Laurilla’s moves who they said had been involved in several hold-up incidents in Brgy. Bacungan and Sicisican and in the town of Taytay.
“Matagal na naming minomonitor ‘yan, taon na. Hindi lang talaga siya tumatagal sa isang lugar kaya hindi namin basta-basta, makuha,” a PDEA agent said.
Operatives confiscated one sachet of suspected shabu, P2,000 buy-bust money, and two motorcycles from the suspects.
Laurilla denied the allegations saying there are just people who were mad at him because of his attitude while serving time in jail for a murder case.
“Marami lang galit sa akin at gumaganti lang siguro, dahil noong nasa bilangguan pa ako, marami akong binubugbog na mga bagong pasok na mga adik at saka kapag may kasong rape,” he explained.
