CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Mimaropa has declared Brgy. Bondoc as drug-cleared barangay.

The validation committee is composed of PDEA, Philippine National Police (PNP), religious groups and other civic organizations who made rigid evaluation and monitoring to declare said barangay as drug-cleared.

PDEA Mimaropa Information Officer Angeline O. Cusi said Brgy. Bondoc is the 20th barangay in the city that has been declared as drug-free.

According to Barangay Captain Richard Abenes, it is important to have unity, coordination, and care of everyone in the barangay to fight and reduce untoward incidents particularly in the entrance of illegal activities including drugs in the barangay.

Abenes urged people in the community to help in fighting illegal drugs and in maintaining their barangay as drug-cleared.
