The weeklong event “Pangalipay sa Baybay 2019” organized by the Puerto Princesa City government in partnership with the Association of Accredited Tourist Accommodation in Puerto Princesa (AATAPP) and a private production group will open on April 22 and last until April 27.

“In behalf of the City Government through the City Tourism Department, we would like to welcome all the Puerto Princesans and, of course, ‘yong atin din pong mga bisita na pumunta po gabi-gabi sa atin pong Baywalk. Simula sa April 22 magsisimula po formally ‘yong celebration n gating Pangalipay sa Baybay for this year 2019. Sa ating mga kababayan, punta po kayo para maki-isa, maki-participate sa atin pong selebrasyon,” Michie Meneses, senior tourism operations officer, said Wednesday.

Meneses said Pangalipay sa Bayabay is a Cuyono phrase which means “Merry Making at the Bay.”

The events will include a Baywalk Bodies and Midsummer (EDM Party) party with national entertainers present.

“For this year magkakaroon po tayo ng Zumba session, ng motorcade during the opening and cars and bike show. Of course, magkakaroon din tayo for the first time ever ng Palawan Food Fest. Bibili lang po kayo ng ticket at lahat ng mga nandoon na mga booth ay puwede niyong tikman ‘yong mga [pagkain na] sariling atin na dito gawa,” Meneses said.

The food fest organized by the AATAPP is set on April 24.

Meneses said each accommodation will present their specialty for the public to taste and experience during the food fest.

“All ages puwedeng pumunta diyan at mag-enjoy po kayo sa gabi-gabing palabas diyan. Kahit mga lola puwede po sa Zumba Session. So mag-ready [na] po kayo it is for free,” she said.
