Five patients in Palawan have been cleared from coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to the Department of Health’s latest tracking report.
The Center for Health Development (CHD-MIMAROPA), in its bulletin issued Thursday, recorded five negative COVID-19 test results in Palawan. The province is down to eight pending results from Manila laboratories.
The Ospital Ng Palawan’s (ONP), which last week started running its own COVID-19 laboratory, has performed at least 10 tests, all yielding negative results, according to the DOH regional office.
“For today’s additional negative result, one lang ang from ONP. Pero all in all, may ten negative results na ang na-release ng ONP,” Geraldine Perez, health education and promotion officer of the regional office, told Palawan News.
Of the province’s eight suspect COVID-19 patients, two are admitted in different hospitals while six remain under strict home quarantine, as of 3 p.m., Thursday (May 28).
ONP’s COVID-19 testing center was granted temporary license to operate on May 18, utilizing a repurposed GeneXpert machine used for tuberculosis (TB) culture laboratory.
