The Palawan provincial government donated three new patrol cars to the Palawan Provincial Police Office.
The turn over was conducted during the flag raising ceremonies at the Capitol yesterday, May 25..
Assistant provincial legal officer Atty. Gil Acosta Jr, said that the Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez requested a private company to donate patrol jeeps that can be used during calamities.
Columbian Auto Car Corporation has already donated 12 units of patrol cars top the Capitol of which three were given for use of the different offices of the provincial government, three to the Provincial Police Office, three to Rescue 165 and three to the Provincial Law Task Force.
Acosta said the donation of the vehicles is part of the I-HELP Program of the governor in his aim to protect the environment and enforce environment laws.
“The governor believes that the peace and order situation of a local government units is part of having economic stability and social progress, “he pointed out.
Police Chief Inspector Necerato Sabando Jr, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration said that they thank the provincial government for the new vehicles.
“We promise that the provincial police will perform its functions to maintain the province’ peace and order. The provincial government can be assured that we will take care of the vehicles they gave us like how we take care of ourselves, ” Sabando said.
