Palawan News (PN) on Saturday evening inked a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to strengthen its marketing tie-up with Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI).
PN managing director Joy Tabuada and PDI senior business development officer Erwin R. Reyes signed the partnership agreement during the Palawan News Thanksgiving Party held at the Legend Hotel Palawan.
Tabuada said that the contract between the two media organizations focuses on having an informed and empowered Palaweño public.
“When communicators collaborate, there will be better understanding on role of each other. When there is better understanding, respect is developed and access to right information becomes easy and the public’s right to know is served. When the public is better informed, they can make right decision to various issues that affect their lives and their future,” Tabuada said.
The MOA signing was witnessed by PN consultant Peter G. Sing and PN executive editor Redempto Anda.
Early Saturday, PN also spearheaded an Information Summit where signing of a covenant among the key stakeholders and other local media organizations pledged their integrity in fulfilling the commitment towards transformative truth through information transparency.
