The Palawan Football Association is open to football enthusiasts who have a passion to excel in this sport.

The Palawan Football Association (PFA) is recruiting more young athletes to join its football training pool.

Jojo Gastanes, PFA president, announced this in a press conference Saturday.

“We are open for everyone kung sino ang gusto na matuto o gusto talaga ang football. Of course, we need the support of their parents kasi hindi namin magagawa ‘yan kung kami lang,” he said.

He said football is not only a sports but is also good in developing a young athlete’s character.

“Hindi lang siya laro kasi kapag natuto ka at nakahiligan mo ang football nandoon ang disiplina, nandoon ang pag-form sayo bilang isang mabuting tao. Marami kang matututunan. We will mold you to be a better person,” he said.

Gastanes said there are already over a hundred players in Palawan.

The local players were set to compete against Laguna Football Club (LFC) for Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Under-15 boys national championships at the Ramon V. Mitra Sports Complex, Puerto Princesa city.

Gastanes said that the PFF U15 Boys National Championship is an amateur competition and league development program under the FIFA Youth Football Development Projects in Philippines.
