Palawan’s unique beauty has been featured again by CNN Travel’s “10 of the World’s Most Beautiful Islands” alongside Norway’s arctic reaches, Milos in Greece in the Aegean Sea, and Kaua’i in the United States among others.

Travel writer Jen Rose Smith included Palawan as the No. 8 world’s most beautiful island in an updated list published on CNN Travel on September 24.

According to her travel article, Palawan being a UNESCO-listed Biosphere Reserve is a “gorgeous haven of pale sand and clear water”.

Smith said Palawan’s most remarkable hiding place might be the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the underground snakes through “a maze of limestone caverns”.

The others on the list are Bartolomé, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador; Fregate, Seychelles; St. Lucia, Lesser Antilles; Jura, Scotland; Komodo, Indonesia, and Mo’orea, French Polynesia.
