Philippine Airlines (PAL) has distributed 50 bags of food aid to its cargo personnel and staff who are affected by the lockdown against the spread of COVID-19.

PAL ticketing manager Puerto Princesa branch Joel Paderes said in a text message that the goods prepared are to help their colleagues who do not have work yet due to the effect of enhanced community quarantine suspending all means of transportation, including air travel.

“We just prepared enough for our cargo staff personnel po. About 50 bags lang naman. We thought of helping our colleagues who do not have work this time of crisis,” he said.

According to the Facebook post of the local branch of the airline, the initiative was lead by Paderes to extend help during the COVID-19 crisis.
