POLA, Oriental Mindoro – The provincial government of Oriental Mindoro through Galing at Serbisyo para sa Mindoreño Action Center (GSMAC) recently distributed housing materials to Indigenous Peoples (the Tadyawan Mangyans) of Sitio Bagong Pook, Brgy. Matulatula of this town.

At least 45 Mangyan families were provided with housing materials which include bags of cement, hollow blocks, nails, steel bars, hammers and other carpentry tools needed in the construction of houses.

Though all sectors are prioritized by the local government, Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor said the ‘Mangyans’ are highly considered to be prioritized first to uplift their way of living.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Zarah C. Magboo and GSMAC Chief Operations Officer Engr. Humprey A. Dolor led the actual distribution of housing materials to the beneficiaries.
