A senior police officer was killed Monday night reportedly after accidentally shooting himself with his own gun while cleaning it in his residence at Purok Everlasting, Typoco Road, Barangay San Miguel.
The family of the victim, P/Capt. Roel Badang Lagrada, 49, has asked the scene of crime operatives (SOCO) to probe into the fatal accident, according to a police report obtained by Palawan News on Tuesday.
Lagrada was assigned at the Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO). The report said his wife Estella heard the gunshot and immediately rushed to her husband who was killed on the spot.
