The National Food Authority (NFA) is eyeing to transfer to its new building office in Barangay Sta. Monica by September.

Osmundo Guinto, Jr., NFA Palawan provincial manager, said they are awaiting the completion of repairs and widening of Rafols Road where their new office is located before they can transfer.

Guinto said they have also requested for the backfilling and cementing of their building compound.

In 2018, the city government donated a 1,000-square meter lot for the agency’s new office building.

The agency allocated P9 million for the new office in Sta. Monica, while its old office in Barangay Liwanag near the port area will be used as a staff house for the personnel who will remain there to be in charge of the warehouse.
