The National Food Authority in Palawan (NFA) welcomed Engr. Alwin Uy as its new provincial general manager (GM) effective January 11.
Assistant NFA provincial manager Nerilyn Conde said Uy replaced Ma. Lewina Tolentino who is now assigned in their central office.
She said Tolentino’s replacement as GM of the NFA in Palawan to go to their central office is a natural occurrence to fill up positions that had been left vacant by employees who had already retired.
“Regular policy ng NFA, kapag nakita nila na medyo kailangan na. Halimbawa katulad kay manager Lewi, kailangan siya doon sa central office — kumbaga nagkaroon ng movement, may mga nag-retire (It’s regular police of the NFA if they see a need. For example in the case of manager Lewi, she’s needed in the central office — it’s like there’s a movement because somebody retired),” she said.
Uy, who is from the NFA in Laguna, already reported to the provincial office and met with department heads, said Conde.
The formal turn over between him and Tolentino will be on January 17.
