Newly-designated Palawan Electric Cooperative (PALECO) general manager Nelson Lalas assured that his office will cooperate with the city government on getting power services better as he paid Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo Bayron a courtesy call on Monday.

In an interview with Lalas shortly after his visit, he said one of the things he and Bayron discussed briefly was about PALECO preparing for an increase in the demand for power supply.

“We have to do something about the anticipated increase in the demand for the power supply… additional capacity,” Lalas said.

Lalas noted it was his first time to meet and talk with Bayron since he arrived on January 4 due to his hectic schedule.

“I am with my staff, we just had our meeting and courtesy call a while ago. It’s purely courtesy call,” he said.

Lalas was with former PALECO officer-in-charge Nap Cortes and two other personnel.
