The municipality of Narra is set to win its 4th consecutive Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) award this year after passing the program’s various criteria during the “national calibration” held by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Narra mayor Gerandy Danao told Palawan News on Wednesday that they successfully passed all seven criteria under the SGLG during the national calibration held on July 18 to 19.

Narra has been a consistent SGLG awardee in the last four years.

Danao said the award will include financial incentives that they can use for their development projects.

“Masaya tayo na kasama na naman ang Narra. Ang daming aayusin sa bayan lalo na mga kalsada. Sobrang dami kaya priority talaga natin ‘yon. Sa susunod sisikapin nanaman natin na maging awardee tayo,” Danao said.

As a SGLG awardee, Narra met all of the requirements in the “core areas,” such as financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, and peace and order.
