A motorcycle driver died Sunday in a collision with another motorcycle in Sitio Tabirna, Barangay Barotuan.

P/Capt. Ric Ramos, the spokesperson of the Palawan police office, identified the victim as Ariel Panaguiton, 49, a farmer.

His back riders, Brenda Panaguiton, 48, and two other kids, sustained serious physical injuries and were brought to a hospital in Puerto Princesa City for treatment.

Ramos named the other party involved as Jaycam Garingo, driver of a Honda beat scooter, and Lerry Gabo, both residents of Brgy. Corong-Corong.

He said the accident happened while both were traveling from opposite directions. Upon reaching a road bend, Garingo reportedly occupied Panaguiton’s lane which caused the collision.

Ramos Garingo is facing a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and multiple serious physical injuries.
