The Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (RESU) of the Department of Health (DOH), in a bulletin on Thursday (as of 3 p.m., April 9), showed that eight PUIs were cleared, after completing the required 14-day home quarantine period without showing any symptoms.

“‘Yong PUI na-clear after 14 days na silang walang na-develop na signs and symptoms. Umaasa din kami na sana mas bumaba pa,” said Geraldine Perez, health education and promotion officer of DOH.

There are currently 63 PUIs in Palawan, 3 of whom remained to be admitted in different hospitals while 60 were still under home quarantine.

Meanwhile, the number of persons under monitoring (PUM) increased to 47 from yesterday’s 44, while 5 PUIs remained to wait for results of their COVID-19 confirmatory test.

However, the regional health office have yet to clarify if the medical personnel from Ospital Ng Palawan (ONP) were included on the surveillance tracker.
