A Batangueño fisherman who has been missing in the West Philippine Sea since September 12 has been rescued by personnel of the Naval Forces West (NFW) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Monday.
Capt. Cherryl Tindog, spokesperson of the Western Command (WESCOM), said in a statement that Freddy Abat, 29, was rescued around 8 a.m. in the vicinity of Cape Melville, West Philippine Sea.
