The Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) has turned over farm inputs to benefit some 11 farmers in Sitio Panagnaan, Barangay Taratak, Bataraza to continuously support the promotion of agriculture in indigenous communities during the pandemic.
Community organizer Adz Adjimin said Tuesday that the farm inputs were given to them on June 27.
The package of farm inputs includes vegetable seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.
“Ngayong panahon ng pandemic, iyan ang pangunahing hanapbuhay nila, ang magtanim para sa pang-araw-araw nila na income,” he said.
The distribution is part of the establishment of vegetable farms under the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) livelihood project with a budget of P50,000.
Part of the budget allocated is the labor assistance of the company while working on the establishment of vegetable farms.
