Mauling incident in Taytay; wanted person arrested in Brooke’s Point


The Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPPO) recorded a mauling incident in Taytay town and arrested a wanted person for alleged estafa in Brooke’s Point this week.

A spot report from the Taytay Municipal Police Station (MPS) said the mauling incident happened in Barangay Poblacion on Monday.

The victim was identified as  Jonathan Olimba who was mauled in front of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) by suspect Richard Valones and two others.

Valones and two other suspects reportedly approached Olimba and repeatedly punched his face and head.

The victim sustained injuries and was brought by the responding personnel of Taytay MPS to the Northern Palawan Provincial Hospital.

The suspect was arrested and detained at the Taytay MPS.

On Tuesday, a wanted person identified as Raymundo Badango, 51, a businessman and resident of Barangay Pangobilian, Brooke’s Point, was arrested for estafa with no recommended bail.

The arrest was made by the personnel of the Brooke’s Point MPS by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jocelyn Sundiang Dilig of Branch 47 of the Regional Trial Court, dated April 10, 2019.

Badango is currently detained at the Brooke’s Point MPS.
