Albert Jerome Carceler Misajon, 29 years old, a farmer and an alleged former rebel shot to death in Roxas.

A man was shot dead Monday morning by unidentified assailants in front of an elementary school in Barangay Magara, Roxas.

He was identified as Albert Jerome Misajon, 29, a resident of the same barangay.

P/Capt. Ric Ramos, the spokesperson of the Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO), said Misajon sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

Ramos said the victim’s live-in partner, whose name cannot be mentioned, narrated in the initial investigation of the police that three unidentified men shot him in a waiting shed outside the school where she is teaching.

Misajon was able to run inside the school, but the men chased after him and shot him again before fleeing.

“Allegedly former rebel pala ‘yan base doon sa sinasabi noong live-in partner at ng mga tao. Under investigation pa ito at naghahanap pa tayo ng katibayan,” he said.

Meanwhile, police authorities recovered four pieces of fired cartridge case of caliber 45, a piece live ammunition, a piece of fired cal. 45 and one fired cartridge case of caliber 9mm.

As of now, a manhunt operation is being conducted by the Roxas Municipal Police Station.
