A person was reportedly clubbed to death following a heated argument with friends during a drinking session on Thursday in Barangay Ransang, Rizal.

The victim was identified in a police report as Elmer Palmon Andrade, 33 years old, from Brgy. Bulalacao, Bataraza.

P/Capt. Bernard Dela Rosa, Police Chief of Rizal Municipal Police Station said that the day before the body was found by a local resident, Andrade had been in a drinking session with four other persons identified in a policer report as Rodel Montoya Lastimoso, Noli Pelomeno Montargo, and Rolando Tejana Sacnanas.

A witness reportedly told the police they heard men having a heated argument at the roadside at around midnight. The victim’s body was found by a local resident lying on the ground the next day.

The police report said the victim sustained severe wounds on his head, Dela Rosa also said that the weapon used was not recovered on the area and the motives of the suspect/s is still unknown.

“Ang problema is hindi natin narecover ‘yong weapon na ginamit don, ‘yong motive hindi pa natin alam. Wala tayong nakuha kaya ang ginagawa ng PNP, in-depth investigation para dito sa immediate arrest ng suspect,” he said.
