An 18-year-old resident of Barangay Maunlad was arrested for selling P500 worth of marijuana Tuesday evening.

Richard Ligad, Anti-Crime Task Force (ACTF) chief, identified the suspected marijuana seller/user as Jhon Joner Gonzales.

Ligad disclosed that they were able to buy one piece of sealed plastic, containing three pieces of rolled paper suspected to be dried marijuana leaves in exchange for P500.

The suspected marijuana and the buy-bust money were recovered from Gonzales.

The apprehension was made by the City Drug Enforcement Unit, City Mobile Force Company, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Anti-Crime Task Force.

The arrest was part of the implementation of anti-narcotics buy-bust operation.

Gonzales will be facing a case in violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
