The state meteorological agency is monitoring a low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), which is less likely to develop into a storm during the next 48 hours, according to a Saturday morning weather forecast.

The LPA was situated 2,080 kilometers east of Mindanao, according to Ezra Bulquerin, a weather expert of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

“For further analysis pa lang itong low-pressure area na ito. Samantala. Ang nakakaapekto sa ating bansa ngayon ay ang monsoon trough na nakakaapekto sa western section ng Luzon,” he said.

He said that the Luzon region would enjoy fair weather within the next 24 hours, with the possibility of isolated showers in the afternoon and evening.

The sea condition is mild to moderate across the nation.

“Wala tayong nakataas na gale warning kaya malayang makakalayag ‘yong mga kababayan natin na mangingisda o may maliliit na sasakyang pandagat. Puwede sila pumalaot,” he said.
